Alina Valentina Oprea has a background of civil engineering. She is an accredited FIDICtrainer, in addition to being an adjudicator, claim expert, contract expert, dispute settlement expert and mediator.
She is listed on the list of dispute board members / adjudicators of the DRBF President, FIDIC - Romanian national list of adjudicators, and FIDIC - Polish national list of adjudicators and expert engineers.
Alina Valentina Oprea is an adjudicator in projects concerning road works and water treatment plants. She voluntarily offered her help as an expert in www.AllExperts.com, in the Construction Law area. She has experience in project management, contract management, procurement procedures - European Commission, international relationships, highway and bridge design.
Mrs. Oprea’s main activity consists in dealing with claims, disputes and arbitration and in providing consultancy services to consultants, contractors and employers regarding contract and claims issues:
- contract clauses interpretation for consultants, contractors and employers,
- “way-to-do-it” from the contractual point of view for consultants, contractors and employers
- claims analysis for consultants, contractors and employers,
- claims determination/resolution as Engineer,
- dispute adjudication as Adjudicator,
- dispute resolution as Dispute Board Member.
Mrs. Alina Oprea used to be a design engineer for the Designing Institute for Road, Water and Air Transport (IPTANA), Bucharest, Romania.
She currently serves as director of the Dispute Resolution Board Foundation (www.drb.org) - Region 2, and is the DRBF Country Representative for Romania.She is also the founder of the DRBF EurAsia Chapter of the DRBF. Mrs. Alina Oprea organized the 7th DRBF Annual International Conference in May 2007 in Bucharest, Romania, 3 DRBF Regional Conferences in Bucharest, on 30-31 October 2009, 9-11 June 2010, 6-7 October 2011, a special DRBF event for Romanian Government representatives, on 24 March 2011, and is planning further DRBF events in Romania and in the region.
Alina Oprea is a speaker in different conferences worldwide on international contracts, claims, disputes - prevention and resolution - in general, especially about dispute boards.
